Game Boy Capacitor Kit (Rear & Power Board)

This kit will work with *ALL* Original (DMG) Gameboy models (all colors and variations)

This kit will replace all the capacitors in the rear board and power board. Great for modded gameboys that have a modern LCD front board.

Recapping the rear board and power board will help this 40 year old system power the new LCD screen

The high quality capacitors in this kit are a mix of Kemet, Panasonic, and Rubycon.

Basic soldering knowledge is required to install these capacitors.

This kit includes

Rear Board

4x 100uF 16V

2x 1uF 50V

2x 10uF 50V

Power Board

1x 33uF 35V

1x 22uF 10V

1x 100uf 16V

Note: The voltages may be higher on these capacitors than on the game boy itself. That's okay! The voltage rating on capacitors is the maximum voltage it can safely be exposed to. So as long as the voltage rating is equal or higher than the original you're good!

The reason I've made and sell these kits is to have an affordable option within North America. Most kits I've seen either take weeks to arrive from Europe or have a high selling/shipping cost.

Is this the best capacitor kit out there? No, however these kits do the exact same thing for a fraction of the price and are what I use exclusively for my business repairing video game consoles.
